Family Philanthropic Planning
Your values, out loud.
Every card in this deck is a value: a word for what matters enough to steer by. Sort them, narrow them to five, and defend the one that matters most.
There aren't any right answers, and nobody's grading this. The only wrong move is picking the word you think you're supposed to pick. Pick the ones that are actually true, even the ones that surprise you.
Your answers stay private until your facilitator shares the group results.

Before you begin
Here's how this works
You'll sort the deck three times. It takes about 10 minutes, and the last step is the part people remember.
After the cards — Add your own
Is a value missing?
If the word you live by isn't in the deck, add it here. It counts the same as the printed cards. You can add up to 4.
One word or a short phrase, in your words. It's saved word for word.
Step 2 of 3 — Narrow to five
Your Core pile
Tap cards to pick your five. The order you tap them in is the order they're saved in. Tap a picked card again to remove it.
0 of 5 picked
Step 3 of 3 — Defend one
The one you'd defend
Pick one of your five, then say why. That story is the whole point of the deck.
You're in.
Your values are saved. Here's your five, in your order.

How this works
You'll see 36 value cards, one at a time. For each one, tap Core to me, Matters, or Not mine. Go with your first instinct.
After the cards, you can add a value of your own if the word you live by isn't in the deck. Then you'll narrow your Core pile down to five.
Last, you'll pick the one value you'd defend when it costs you something, and say why in your own words.
There are no right answers. Your facilitator will share the group results once everyone has submitted.
